Bienvenidos! Welcome!

Speaking other languages gives ONLY benefits, including the skill to communicate with more people, to understand the enriching aspects of other societies, and to stay competitive in a world of globalization.

In order to enhance our foreign language program, this school year (2019-2020) we will continue with Middle School students mid-term and final exams for Spanish.

I highly recommend for all the students to practice at home and refresh vocabulary the Duolingo app (free).

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at: bolado@blessedtrinitycatholicschool.org

WHAT IS PE GOING TO LOOK LIKE THIS YEAR?

Using the recommendations from the Center for Disease Control for both youth sports and classrooms, the following guidelines have been implemented:

  1. ALL students will WEAR THEIR PE UNIFORM TO SCHOOL on their scheduled PE days.NO STUDENTS will be changing into PE uniforms at school.
  2. All PE classes will be held outside, pending weather.
  3. PE classes will be held in various locations around campus including the parking lot, basketball court, and soccer field.
  4. Masks must be worn to and from all PE classes, however, will not be worn during PE class. Masks will be placed on an assigned number.
  5. Hand sanitizer will be used prior to class and before placing masks back on at the end of class.
  6. Students will be kept 6’ apart to ensure social distancing. Students will be assigned a number, letter, and color to help with social distancing in all locations.
  7. Equipment will not be used unless a 1:1 ratio of student to equipment can be implemented.
  8. All equipment will be sanitized immediately following use.
  9. All students MUST bring a water bottle to class that is labeled with their name. Water bottles will be placed on an assigned number.

WHAT WILL STUDENTS DO IN PE THIS YEAR?

Activities such as team sports and games will not be possible due to the lack of social distancing and sharing of equipment.  However, there is still a lot that we can do to have fun!  It is up to the students to be respectful, responsible, and safe!  As students learn to move within their assigned space, we will be able to add more activities and leave our spaces……but this will take practice and time!

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!

We are learning as we go, and I will do my very best to keep your child safe and active during this challenging time!  Physical activity is not only an important part of your child’s physical health but vital for their mental health as well.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I look forward to seeing your child and being active with our EAGLES once again!

Welcome to the Library Media Center!

My name is Mrs. Miller. I have been a Media Specialist for 6 years. I am married with three children and have two dogs. I am excited to be at Blessed Trinity. Most of all, I am excited about getting to know all of you. We are going to have a great year reading, researching, typing, and using our technology skills.

Key Points to remember when in the Library Media Center (L.M.C.):

  • Always stay socially distanced no matter where you are in the L.M.C.
  • Use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the room.
  • Always wear your mask.
  • Keep your hands to yourself.
  • Stay in your assigned seat. To get a book or move around the room, you will be called when it is your turn.

Book cleaning:

  • It is important for each student to keep their checked-out books clean.
  • Before reading the book, make sure your hands have been washed or have used hand sanitizer.
  • Do not share your book with anyone else. When you are finished with your book, make sure you put it back in your backpack.
  • When the books are returned to me, I will wipe the covers down and then they will sit for a week before being placed back on the library shelves.
  • I will be doing everything possible to keep the Library Media Center clean. The effort of the student’s book care is very important.  Keeping their books clean, ultimately, helps us all.

What I expect from you:

Be Respectful. Be willing to give your best every day. Ask Questions. Be Persistent with your effort.

Definition of effort

1: conscious exertion of powerhard work

//a job requiring time and effort

“Effort.” Merriam-Webster, Merriam-Webster, www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/effort.

No matter what your current ability is, effort is what ignites that ability and turns it into accomplishment – Carol Dweck
