Elementary and Middle School Catholic Curriculum

Celebrating 25 years

At our school, we follow the curriculum guides for Elementary and Middle school provided by the Diocese of St. Augustine. To ensure we meet these guidelines, we carefully select textbooks and programs. The Diocesan Curriculum guides are regularly updated based on educational and developmental research. If you’d like to view a complete copy of the Diocese of St. Augustine Education Syllabus, you can find it in our school office.

School Board

Role in Policy Implementation and Support

The School Advisory Board plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the Pastor and Principal to effectively execute school policies. These policies are designed to align with the overarching goals and ethos of both the school and the broader Diocese of St. Augustine educational framework. The Board’s functions encompass:

  1. Supporting Institutional Objectives: The Board actively contributes to advancing the institution’s objectives, while also aligning with the goals of the Diocese of St. Augustine and its accrediting body.
  2. Enhancing Communication: A key responsibility is facilitating effective communication between the school and both the Diocesan Advisory Board on Education and the wider parish community. This aids in conveying the school’s mission and programs to a broader audience.
  3. Budget Collaboration: The Board assists in the creation of the annual budget, ensuring financial plans are in harmony with the school’s educational mission and the Diocese’s guidelines.
  4. Guidance in Leadership Selection: The Board serves in an advisory capacity during the selection of the school Principal, offering valuable insights into candidate selection.
  5. Committee Structure: The Board includes several standing committees, such as long-range planning, finances, and maintenance. It also establishes ad hoc committees as required, fostering a well-rounded approach to school management.
  6. Building Positive Community Relations: The Board actively cultivates positive public relations, contributing to the school’s standing within the local community.
  7. Facility Development: In collaboration with the Pastor and Principal, the Board participates in planning and developing new educational facilities, supporting the growth and evolution of the school.
  8. Professional Development: Board members regularly engage in “new board training” sessions, offered annually by the Diocesan Advisory Board of Education. This ensures that the Board remains well-informed and equipped to fulfill its duties effectively.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, the School Advisory Board plays an integral role in the advancement of the school’s educational mission, maintaining alignment with the Diocese’s broader vision for education.

Mission Statement

Blessed Trinity Catholic School provides all students the opportunity to flourish in a Catholic Christian environment through inspired academics, spiritual growth rooted in the Eucharist and service to our community.

Philosophy

Following the Bishops’ pastoral “To Teach as Jesus Did”, Blessed Trinity Catholic School strives to assist all students, regardless of race, creed, or ethnic background, in the difficult task of maturing into well-rounded, capable citizens of this great country and followers of Jesus Christ.

As a Catholic School, Blessed Trinity is dedicated to integrating the teaching of God and Gospel values within the total curriculum. Blessed Trinity School develops social and emotional skills through positive guidance techniques set forth by the Parish Community.

We strive to view each child as a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of growth. We endeavor to instruct children in order for them to excel to their full potential.

Working together, the faculty and parents, who are the primary educators, create an atmosphere of love and understanding, in which all students are encouraged to use their God-given gifts and talents to the fullest extent of their potential.
